I couldn't help but notice the insurmountable amount of bicycles chained up on the streets of New York. Some bikes are cared for more than others but for the most part you'll see forgotten frames of the most prolific mode of individual transportation in the world. Here are some of those sad bikes.

An old Browning 3-Speed (Shimano 3cc Hub) given a new breath of life through a paint job, crank set, pedals, chain, shifter cable, tires, tubes, bar grips, saddle and cute little basket. The key to this fix up, replacing the original cotter crank set which had deteriorated the pins and axel and replacing the bottom bracket.

This is one way to reuse old bike parts lying around the apartment.
